Configuring a Magellan Meridian GPS

Step-by-step instructions for configuring a Magellan Meridian-series GPS receiver.

To disable NMEA output

1. Press the Menu button on your GPS receiver.
2. Select Setup.
3. Select NMEA.
4. Select Off.

To set the baud rate to 4800

1. Press the Menu button on your GPS receiver.
2. Select Setup.
3. Select Baud Rate.
4. Select 4800 Baud.

To set the datum to WGS84

1. Press the Menu button on your GPS receiver.
2. Select Setup.
3. Select Map Datum.
4. Select Primary.
5. Select WGS84.

To set the coordinate format to decimal degrees

1. Press the Menu button on your GPS receiver.
2. Select Setup.
3. Select Coord System.
4. Select Primary.
5. Select Lat/Lon.
6. Select DEG.DDDDD.
