Find Notes - Search Results dialog

Use the Find Notes - Search Results dialog to build up complex AND- and OR-style queries.


New Searches

To discard the results of the last search and start a new search:

  1. Select All in the Search list.
  2. Select Replace Existing in the Results list.

OR-style Searches

To find additional notes and add them to the current list of search results:

  1. Select All in the Search list.
  2. Select Add to Existing in the Results list.

Tip - To find notes of type "Summit" OR type "Mountain":

  1. Find notes where type is equal to Summit.
  2. Click OK to run first search.
  3. Find notes where type is equal to Mountain.
  4. Select All in the Search list.
  5. Select Add to Existing in the Results list.
  6. Click OK to add results of second search to the results of first search.

AND-style Searches

To narrow down the list of the previous search further:

  1. Select Visible in the Search list.
  2. Select Replace Existing in the Results list.

Tip - To find notes where distance to the waypoint HOME is less than 5 miles AND distance to the waypoint WORK is less than 10 miles:

  1. Set waypoint HOME as Active Point.
  2. Sort note List by Distance to Active Point.
  3. Find notes where distance to point is less than 5 miles.
  4. Click OK to run first search.
  5. Set waypoint WORK as Active Point.
  6. Find notes where distance to point is less than 10 miles.
  7. Select Visible in the Search list.
  8. Select Replace Existing in the Results list.
  9. Click OK to run second search on the notes that were found in the first search.
