There's a lot of information in your GPX Pocket Query files, and very little space on your GPS receiver. The Geocaching Settings dialog gives you a number of ways to format data so it fits in your GPS receiver's memory.
To show the Geocaching Settings dialog, do the following:
- Do one of the following:
- On the , click .
- Press Ctrl+Shift+P.
- Click on the My Geocaching Receivers tab in the Preferences dialog.
- Select your GPS receiver.
- Click .
- Waypoint & Comment Data Field
- You can build up a waypoint or comment name for your GPS receiver, using data from up to three fields in GeoBuddy, and up to four prefixes/suffixes.
- Waypoint & Comment Max. Length
- You can limit the length of some data fields by selecting a maximum length.
- Waypoint & Comment Sample
- A sample of what you will see on your GPS receiver appears here.
- GPS Symbols
- You can assign a different GPS symbol to each type of geocache.
- Found/Not Found Symbols
- To mark a geocache as found (or not found) in the field, change the waypoint symbol on your GPS receiver to one of these symbols.
