You can use your own paper road maps, trail maps, and navigational charts in GeoBuddy. If your map is not already in digital form, you can use a scanner or digital camera to create a digital copy of your map.
Working with Maps
Read about the basic commands for interacting with all of the maps in GeoBuddy.
Calibrating a Scanned Map
You must calibrate your scanned map before it can be displayed in the correct location. This process involves specifying the location of two or three known points on the map. Once the correct geographic coordinates are known for these points (called Calibration Points), GeoBuddy can calculate the coordinates of every other point on the map.
Manage your Scanned Maps
Use the Open Scanned Map Library command to view the Scanned Map Library, where you can add, edit, export, and remove scanned maps.
