Delete Maps Tool

The Delete Maps Tool allows you to queue up and delete all of the topo maps and aerial photos for a rectangular area.

To select the Delete Maps Tool, do the following:

  1. View a topo map or aerial photo.
  2. Then, do one of the following:
    • On the Map menu, point to Select Map Tool, and click Delete Maps Tool.
    • Press D.
    • Click the Delete Maps ToolDelete Maps Tool button on the Map toolbar.
  3. The cursor will change to Delete Maps Tool

Retrieving all of the maps in a rectangular area

To delete maps within a rectangular area, do the following:

  1. Drag the Delete Maps Tool over the map.
  2. Release the mouse button.
  3. The Delete Maps dialog will appear. Select the map scales you want to delete, and click OK.

Maps within the selected area will be removed from your Map Folder.

Showing the Shortcut Menu

To show the Shortcut Menu, right-click on the map.

If an item is selected on the map, the Shortcut Menu for that item will be shown. If nothing is selected, the Map Shortcut Menu will be shown.
