Retrieve Maps Tool

The Retrieve Maps Tool allows you to queue up and retrieve all of the topo maps and aerial photos for a rectangular area.

To select the Retrieve Maps Tool, do the following:

  1. View a topo map or aerial photo.
  2. Then, do one of the following:
    • On the Map menu, point to Select Map Tool, and click Retrieve Maps Tool.
    • Press P.
    • Click the Retrieve Maps ToolRetrieve Maps Tool button on the Map toolbar.
  3. The cursor will change to Retrieve Maps Tool

Retrieving all of the maps in a rectangular area

To retrieve maps within a rectangular area, do the following:

  1. Drag the Retrieve Maps Tool over the map.
  2. Release the mouse button.
  3. The Retrieve Maps dialog will appear. Select the map scales you want to retrieve, and click OK.

GeoBuddy will queue up all of the selected maps for retrieval. To monitor the progress of Internet Map Retrieval, click Show Map Retrieval Status Window.

To show the Shortcut Menu, right-click on the map.

If an item is selected on the map, the Shortcut Menu for that item will be shown. If nothing is selected, the Map Shortcut Menu will be shown.
